The Tang Shipwreck was acquired through the generous donation of the Estate of Khoo Teck Puat.

Chinese white wares such as this bowl were immensely desirable, both within China and abroad. They have been discovered throughout Southeast Asia and the Middle East. It is one of around 300 pieces found in the Tang Shipwreck. Probably made at the Gongxian kilns in northern China, this bowl features four raised ribs on the inside and may have been used for drinking tea.
