The Illustrated London News first debuted in 1842. It was the world’s first fully illustrated weekly newspaper. It covered events ranging from the French Revolution in 1848 and the two World Wars to the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. It ceased publication in 2003.
