The cloth seat of this stool was embroidered by the donor during her sewing lessons at Haig Girls’ School, where the students were expected to complete one sewing project each year. This stool seat was her first project in Primary 1, where she was provided with the cloth and embroidery pattern. Subsequently, her teacher assisted to mount the embroidered seat onto the wooden stool. Besides the stool, the donor’s primary school sewing projects included an embroidered bag, bolero jacket, cushion covers and a tablecloth.
