These are a pair of woolen baby booties worn on a baby's feet to keep them warm. Woolen booties were meant to be able to withstand wear and tear, and mothers in the 1930s were advised to have a steady supply of them and to handwash them to keep them soft. These were worn by the donor's mother, Koh Ai Ai, as a baby in the 1930s.
