These photographs show the hairdressers who worked at Springtime hair salon, which was located around Joo Chiat Road. The photographs showing the façade of the shop were probably taken at the opening of the hair salon in the 1960s, while the other three photographs show the interiors of a salon (likely Springtime) and samfoo-clad hairdressers tending to their customers. The photographs were kept in an envelope dated to 12 April 1960, which was from Yue Teng Photographic Store located at No. 47 Upper Cross Street.
