This is a group photo taken during the opening ceremony of the Calligraphy and Art Exhibition organised by the Singapore Chinese Schools’ Conference. The photograph was taken on 18th December 1947 with the background of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The Singapore Chinese Schools’ Conference was an umbrella organisation for Chinese schools in Singapore and was established in 1947.
