These triangular pennants were produced by Lucky Teaching Aids for National Day celebrations between the 1980s and 1990s. A local company that was founded in the 1950s, Lucky Teaching Aids was one of the first to mass-produce state flags in 1959, the year the flag was designed when Singapore attained self-government. Besides the national flag and pennants, Lucky Teaching Aids also produced banners and buntings for National Day up to 2001, while manufacturing teaching aids such as blackboards formed another part of its business.
