Donald 'Don' McCullin (London, UK, 1935) is one of the great war photographers. These 2 photos are from the Vietnam War, which has been called the last photographer’s war. They were both from the Battle of Hue, which took place from Jan to Mar 1968 during the Tet offensive launched by North Vietnam and the Viet Cong. The South Vietnamese and American forces recaptured the city after intensive fighting. The battle was one of the longest and bloodiest in the war and increased the negative perception of the war in America.
