Drawings of jewellery are an essential part of a jeweller's design process. Ideas of balance and symmetry in design are achieved through a careful arrangement of floral sprays. This drawing was made by Foundation Jewellers' master craftsman, Lim Foon Yan (1941 – 2009). Around 2009, Lim Foon Yan's brother, Lim Teck Ngain (b. 1947), made a gold and diamond 'kerosang' (fastener) based on this drawing. The 'kerosang' accompanies this donation.
