This Chinese Renowned Personalities Series features stories from five Chinese classics: Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Water Margin, Journey to the West, Chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Kingdoms and Investiture of the Gods. This set was published by the Cultural Books Company based in Taipei. The series is meant as a supplemental reading material beyond the classroom for young children. Local Chinese bookstores imported Chinese books from Taiwan, Mainland China and Hong Kong for the reading needs of young Singaporean-Chinese.
