This analogue split-flap flight information board was installed in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 in 1999. Situated between rows 9 and 10 of the terminal’s Departure Hall, the board presented up to date flight information until it was decommissioned in 2020. Such analogue boards featured from the opening of Changi Airport in 1981, and apart from their main function, have also served as a popular backdrop for photograph taking. It is commonly referred to as a Solari Board, after the Italian maker Solari di Udine that first produced and popularised such boards.
