Fluttering Singapore flags are hung at regular intervals alongside laundry on this façade of Block 32 New Market Road. The block is a nine-storey mixed-use building constructed as part of Singapore's urban renewal to replace a market on the same site. Levels one to four of the building, named People's Park Food Centre, comprise hawker stalls and retail shops, and was officially opened on 23 February. Residential HDB units are located on levels five to nine.
