This early view of Pasir Panjang captures a small cluster of houses on stilts in a copse of coconut trees, and looking out to the sea. This provides a vastly different view of Pasir Panjang before it became a container terminal in the 1990s and before reclamation meant that Pasir Panjang road no longer hugs the coastline. This postcard gives an example of early kampong housing in Singapore.
