This installation is a relic from a performance in which Tang Da Wu introduced Thai artist Montien Boonma during the 1996 opening of "Modernity and Beyond", the exhibition that inaugurated the Singapore Art Museum. While directly referencing Boonma's "The Pleasure of Being, Crying, Dying and Eating", Tang uses Chinese teacups and a weighing scale to question how institutions "weigh up" against the significance of artists and their work.
