These two photographs are of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC), a branch of the Australian Army that provided medical attention and care to the Australian army personnel. Both photographs were taken before the outbreak of World War Two. Some members of the RAAMC saw action in the Far East. They included those of the 2/9th Field Ambulance, which was part of the Australian Army's 8th Division that participated in the defence of Malaya and Singapore from 1941-1942.
