A common sight in Singapore during the 1970s and 1980s, this orange public phone was introduced by the Singapore Telephone Board in 1971. Users would have to insert 10 cents to operate the pay phone. The rise of mobile phone technology in the late 1990s led to the decline in usage of such public phone services.
