Dark blue with red Singapore lion tie

In 1986, the Singapore Lion was introduced as a national symbol of courage, strength and excellence. Since then, the Lion was widely accepted to be distinctly Singaporean and thus, the Lion symbol was incorporated into costume such as the Singapore Lion ties. The tie was part of the selection in the time capsule buried in 1990 by then DPM Ong Teng Cheong to celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence in 2015.
