This booklet was published to mark the inaugural opening of the Singapore Constitutional Exposition on 31 January 1959. The exposition, sponsored by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, was held at the former Kallang airport premises. It commemorated Singapore’s attainment of internal self-government that year, and involved the various government departments and the commercial participants. The exposition logo featured on the booklet was based on the design of the fountain by Messrs. H. Senna, a gift from the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce to the Singapore City Council.
