The painting depicts a group of eleven acrobats participating in a complicated and daring balancing act using various props and apparatus. A large muscular man is the base of the pyramid, with smaller male figures culminating in three delicate female figures at the top. The centre female nonchalantly crosses her legs and holds a parrot. Two musicians accompany their act.The scene provides an insight into the life and entertainment in the Mughal court. The mix of music with an accomplished but immensely fun performance makes for a very charming image.
