This beaded panel is highly unusual for the choice of grey as the base colour. A pot with three large roses, flanked by two white rabbits dominates the central design on the panel, surrounded by a border of smaller flowers and leaves. The technique employed to create a panel like this is known as netted beadwork. It is a technically demanding method of beading particularly popular with beadwork from Penang and Sumatra.
