H.R. Ocampo (1911-1978) is a central figure in Philippine modern art in the postwar period. This personal scrapbook of Ocampo contains drawings and watercolour paintings from his formative period as an artist, a number of these done while he was incarcerated after the war. They also hold 170 items of archival material, newspaper, magazine and journal clippings, from the 1940s to the 1970s, relating to his work and that of his peers. This is a valuable resource for any curator and researcher on Philippine modern art.
