These two programmes were of Maurice Clare's violin recitals in Singapore in 1953 and 1954.The Scottish-born violinist had won critical acclaims for his performance, and had performed in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and Japan. When Clare came to Singapore, he held his recitals at the War Memorial Hall at St. Andrew's Cathedral in 1953, and the Victoria Memorial Hall the following year in 1954.
