This earthenware dish is covered with tin-infused white glaze and copper-green painted decoration of a central floral motif surrounded by a band of vegetal motifs.Wares of this type were mainly found in gravesites, in the Tak-Omkoi area of the border with north Thailand. Scholars have suggested the tin-glaze technology may have been inspired by early West Asian traditions of the 9th century introduced through trade via India. While others have suggested that 15th century Chinese blue and white wares inspired the painted designs in green.
