This is a pink princess cut wedding dress with a wide neckline, puffy long sleeves and a sash at the waist. It is made from lace and velvet. This piece was personally made by Ms. Josephine Tan, who wore it on the evening of her wedding in 1990.The 1990s saw a wave of personalized wedding dresses in Singapore as women could afford to design and buy their own dresses with the greater availability of cheaper fabrics. Many drew their inspiration from fashion styles of the mid- and late-Victorian eras.
