The batik sarong belonged to Constance Sheares, the daughter of Singapore’s second president, Mr. Benjamin Sheares (1971–1981). She was also a curator at the National Museum of Singapore in the 1970s and 1980s.The sarong is worn with this green embroidered kebaya (2010-01291), which was made in Java.
