Sarong kebaya

This green embroidered kebaya belonged to Constance Sheares, the daughter of Singapore’s second president, Mr. Benjamin Sheares (1971–1981). She was also a curator at the National Museum of Singapore in the 1970s and 1980s.The kebaya was made in Java and it was worn during her numerous trips there. The kebaya is worn over this batik sarong (2010-01292).
