This vessel has sprig-moulded floral motifs at midsection and a streaky apple-green glaze.Glazed monochrome wares such as this green vessel appear to be an early type of Vietnamese export ware in the 14th century. They reflect a desire to emulate Chinese green-glazed wares, perhaps in an attempt to capture a share of the export market for high-fired glazed ceramics.
