This 45 rpm record was produced by Panda Records.With a singing career that spanned more than 40 years, the name Huang Qing Yuan or Wong Ching Yian will ring a bell to those who remember the local popular music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. In 1965, Huang won the singing competition organised by the Ministry of National Development in which he sang 'Serenade of the Green Island’ (《绿岛小夜曲》, Ludao Xiaoyequ), a Chinese classic. Huang’s fame soared and he went on to release several records thereafter.
