This spinach-green jade muhnal, is a Mughal mouthpiece for smoking huqqa. It is delicately carved and finished. The Mughal artistic vision varies from the most grandiose to the minutest, a range almost unsurpassable in vision and execution. The aesthetic sense and appreciation for details can be discerned from this object which has been finished with care and concern for the user. The same attention to detail and artistic sense was appreciated by the Mughal imperial court, the Deccani sultans, rulers of the Rajput and the Sikh region.
