This silver bowl with a flat base has its exterior engraved with floral and foilage motifs. It would have been used to scoop water to wash oneself in the ‘hammam’ or baths.As Islam is the guiding principle in all aspects of a Muslim’s life, it also provides some guidelines on attire and appearance.
