This ornament features four rounded protrusions on each side and could possibly be a bead. The presence of the hole suggests that this could have been a pendant, with the chain passing through the hole. The ornament was made by casting, a technique already known in the 3rd century to Javanese goldsmiths who had begun to use heat to work gold.
