Mao is depicted wearing a PLA uniform. The characters on the base of the figurine read, 'Long live Chairman Mao'. Porcelain figurines of Mao in various forms were manufactured and placed at homes and workplaces. They were also presented as gifts to provincial revolutionary committees established between 1967 and 1968 to take over the reins of political power.
