This large flower pot has a flattened rim and several holes in the base. It is made from local clay and was fired in a traditional dragon kiln run by the Guan Huat Porcelain Factory in Jurong in Singapore. The Factory was set up by Mr. Lee Yong Lee and his friends in 1958. Although the factory has closed down in the 1990s, the dragon kiln is still being used by artists to fire ceramic works. The kiln is now under Jalan Bahar Clay Studios, off Jalan Bahar.
