This is a five dollar Malayan Japanese invasion money (JIM) note overprinted with phrases such as: ‘Malayan VJ’ (Victory over Japan), ‘war souvenir’ and ‘grim memories 1941-1945’. It was printed by unknown parties to publicise the Allied victory over Japan and the demise of the JIM.
