Big costume jewellery like this necklace were in vogue during the 1960s. According to its owner Nancy Lim, who was known as the “Cheongsam Lady”, they were fashionable accessories worn together with a matching rose ivory necklace and a cheongsam during the day while crystal earrings would be worn at night.
