This is a wooden printing block with an etched brass plate bearing the ‘Leong Wan Tea Merchant’ logo. Woodblock printing was the predominant method used for manufacturing product labels up to the late 20th century. This printing block was used for labelling tea leaves before they were distributed to ‘kopitiams’ (coffee shops).
