These are very heavy brass earrings, in a globular shape tapering to a point at the bottom, and were worn by either Dayak men or women. The earrings are inserted in enlarged earlobes, which are eventually extended by several inches. Together with old beads and heirloom Chinese jars, brass earrings were kept as part of the house treasure in these cultures.
