Born in Kedah, Malaysia in 1939, Khoo Sui Ho enrolled at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore in 1959. Among his teachers were Singapore pioneer artists, Cheong Soo Pieng, Georgette Chen and Chen Chong Swee. On completing his studies, he became a full-time artist. Since 1963, the human figure has been a dominant theme in his work, with the human form often integrated with its surroundings.
