Ring with flower-shaped bezel

This cast gold ring is set with eight garnets and a green stone on bezel in a floral motif. Its shank is decorated with elaborate incising. Javanese statues depict people wearing usually two rings on each hand and one on each foot. Besides personal adornment, gold was also used to make religious items during this period.
