This is a collection of 10 embroidered cloths that would have possibly been aids for kebaya makers in the early to mid 20th century to base their designs on. These are of floral, geometric and circular patterns and would subsequently be sewn onto kebayas or have their patterns copied. Such samplers and pieces are useful in researching the ways in which kebayas are made and the patterns that would have been commonly used for kebayas.
