This artefact is probably a metal mould used to make Kueh Pie Tee, which is a common Peranakan dish. Kueh Pie Tee is a thin and crispy pastry tart shell filled with a spicy, sweet mixture of thinly sliced vegetables and prawns. This mould consists of a metal rod which bends into a cylindrical mould with thin protruding stripes that are evenly spaced out. It comes with a wooden handle.
