The film is about Prince Derma Kesuma who refuses to marry a princess from a rival country and decides to flee the palace. Along the way, he meets, falls in love with and marries Harum Cendana. One day, Harum is kidnapped by pirates and it is up to the prince and his two friends, Chelorong and Cheloreng, to find Harum and bring her back to safety.
