This calligraphy has very powerful but unassuming lishu executed with an execptionally good ink quality. The characters are very even - a very important quality in writing lishu calligraphy. This style of calligraphy was the strength of Di Wenquan (Yunshen), Qing dynasty calligrapher, whose main interest was in ancient scriptures and collecting antiques.Lishu, in Chinese calligraphy, is a style that may have originated in the brush writing of the later Zhou and Qin dynasties (c. 300–200 bc);
