This muzzle loader musket from mid 1800s was used extensively in the Frontier regions of Pakistan. Despite its crude appearance, it is with this weapon that the Balach tribesmen earned a reputation of being exceptional marksmen.Muskets have been in fashion from 14th century until mid 19th century. They were later replaced by rifles. This rifle has some decorative detailing which follows the tradition of decorating weapons in south Asia.
